Barbara Bush was first lady from 1989 to 1993, married to George H. W. Bush. She is mother to George W. Bush. She was charitable and spent her time supporting causes such as literacy and support of AIDS relief for patients around the world. Spending a life well-lived, honored and respected. Mrs. Bush received numerous awards for her humanitarian work and many honorary doctorate degrees from higher education.
