The Fall 2025 philatelic catalog is here. I didn’t get my Philatelic catalog from the post office but noticed that the new book was available as a PDF from the USPS. One highlight that I noticed right away is that former president Jimmy Carter’s stamp will be available for sale in October 2025. According to Linn’s Stamp News (2025), “for many years, USPS stamp subject selection criteria stated that U.S. presidents ‘may be honored with a memorial stamp on the first birth anniversary following death.'”

Then, there are the 3 forever stamps of the Army, Navy and Marine Corps. Wondering why there is not one for Air Force? It is because these stamps are part of a 250th anniversary celebration in that these military branches were established by the US Congress in 1775.

There are the postcards representing the upcoming Boston 2026 World Stamp Show. Check out my blog post here on it – https://stateofstampcollecting.com/2025/09/25/event-boston-2026-world-expo-signups-now/

On page 26 (out of 27), there is a nice little section called Philatelic Beginnings which explains the term “philately” and where it comes from. Download the catalog to read the whole piece.
